DiGi offers 100 unique experiences for its Prepaid customers

Kuala Lumpur, 24 August 2011 DiGi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd ("DiGi") today launched the DiGi Super Reload Social Impian Buddyz promotion, offering exciting prizes worth more than RM250,000 in a campaign running from 8 September to 31 December 2011.

PLDT, Microsoft and Dimension Data launch best-in-class private Cloud-Computing Solutions

MANILA, Philippines, August 23, 2011 – Philippine Long Distance Telephone Co., Inc. (PLDT) together with global software giant Microsoft Philippines and Asia’s leading IT Solutions company Dimension Data, jointly announced the commercial availability of Managed Microsoft Solutions in the market, under the PLDT AppFarm Private Cloud Services portfolio.

The suite of Microsoft’s productivity and infrastructure software offerings that have been added into PLDT AppFarm’s growing collection of Enterprise-grade cloud solutions, include the latest version of familiar best-of-class enterprise applications such as Microsoft Exchange Server 2010, Microsoft Sharepoint Server 2010, Microsoft Lync Server 2010, and Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 with Hyper-V, said PLDT officials at a press launch held Monday at the Makati Shangri-la Hotel also attended by Microsoft and Dimension Data global and regional executives.

Under the three-way agreement, PLDT will carry and distribute Microsoft applications under a Service Provider Licensing Agreement (SPLA), while Dimension Data, a subsidiary of leading Japanese telecoms operator NTT, will provide the necessary infrastructure and technical support for all projects using its globally-established “Onecloud” framework. The collaboration among the three industry leaders assemble the strengths of each partner in the different facets of ICT project execution, from broadband networking, application development, systems integration, up to IT operations management.

The service model is based on a “Private-Cloud” approach, where businesses can fully outsource the end-to-end implementation of their chosen Microsoft solutions on a turn-key arrangement, while ensuring complete data security and maintaining full control on the system, with the infrastructure residing at their own premises.

SingTel and SAP revolutionise business management for SMEs through the cloud

Singapore Telecommunications Limited (SingTel) and SAP today announced the launch of the SAP Business One hosted on SingTel PowerON cloud-based business management solution for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). The solution gives SMEs the freedom to streamline and manage their sales, customer relationships, inventory, business processes and operations on-the-move via internet-enabled smartphones, tablets and PCs.

Powered by SingTel’s cloud computing capabilities, the solution is offered on a monthly subscription basis.
